Gamble Rogers was the epitome of a Southern gentleman, talented charming and full of wit and wisdom. He lost his life saving a tourist in the undertow off St. Augustine. He needs to be remembered. They want to remove his name from the state beach where he acted unselfishly and saved a drowning tourist- a total stranger. I still love his music. He was a gracious friend.
