“I Am Taking Care Of Myself”

Here is a little ditty that came to me sitting outside in front of the store at Seasons on Montana, in Santa Monica, CA on a pleasant April day.

It had been rough going for me emotionally for many weeks. I finally realized that no one was gong to take care of me unless I decided to take care of myself. I made up a Samba beat and started to sing. Suddenly I felt BETTER! The groove was nice, the words sunk into my hard head and my heart opened up.

The day looked brighter and I felt like smiling again after a long dark teatime of the soul.

Funny how this stuff works.
