The Dance of the Enablers

The Dance between the enabler and the addict is invisible, instantaneously perceived by the unconscious of both participants that this could be a useful  relationship; where we help each other in our dependencies. Allowing the other to fall while having the best of intentions. Helping them to succumb to their demons while giving lip service to anything that will change or improve the situation. Reveling in the drama of perceived calamity. Staggering off of the dance floor, sweating from the exertion and flushed with the sense of being alive when all that is happening is fleeting chance. The drummer plays the tunes that dance the enablers. Be careful.
