In the mid to late Seventies there was a lot of great underground music in LA. The Runaways was a girl band that really worked. Joan Jett went on to become famous, But the Drummer Sandy West started the band with Joan and there is a story about her in the LA WEEKLY. Sandy West was a great drummer and a cool spirit.
